Lift sagging cheeks, jowls and brows with dissolvable threads
A thread lift uses fine, dissolvable medical threads placed under the skin to lift and support sagging areas. You see a lift straight away, and the threads boost collagen as they slowly dissolve. No cuts or stitches.

What to expect
Consultation
The doctor assesses your skin quality and degree of sagging, and plans the thread type and direction.
Preparation
The skin is cleansed, entry points are marked, and local anaesthetic is given for comfort.
Placement
Threads are placed under the skin with a fine cannula and gently adjusted. It usually takes 30 to 60 minutes.
Results
The lift is visible straight away, then settles over 1 to 2 weeks. Collagen continues to build for months.
It often suits people who
- Have mild to moderate sagging of the cheeks, jowls or brows
- Want a lift without surgery
- Have reasonable skin thickness and quality
- Can allow a few days for swelling to settle
It may not suit you if you
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have an active skin infection or acne in the area
- Have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners, without discussing it first
- Have very heavy sagging, where a surgical facelift may be more suitable

Thread Lift, answered
Does a thread lift hurt?
The area is numbed with local anaesthetic, so most people feel only pressure. Mild soreness for a few days afterwards is normal.
How long do results last?
The threads dissolve over several months, but the lift and new collagen often last 1 to 2 years. Results vary from person to person.
Is there downtime?
Expect some swelling, tenderness or bruising for a few days to a week. Many people return to work within 1 to 3 days.
What should I avoid afterwards?
For about 2 weeks avoid facial massage, opening the mouth very wide, dental work, heavy exercise and saunas. Sleep on your back for the first few nights.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes. It is often combined with fillers or skin tightening such as HIFU for a fuller result.
How much does it cost?
The cost depends on the areas and the number of threads needed. You will get an exact quote after your consultation.
